I’m Jeff Ebbing, Director of Marketing and Communications at Southeastern Community College — aka the Marketing Guy. I’ve spent 20+ years in the trenches of community college marketing: building campaigns that deliver, helping leadership see marketing as strategy, and figuring out how to lead when you don’t always have the title, time, or resources.

I created this site for the people doing the work: the marcomms pros trying to lead from the middle, build trust in a system that doesn’t always make it easy, and turn the chaos into something that actually works.

You won’t find silver bullets here. But you will find lessons I’ve learned (often the hard way), tools that save time, and ideas that help you think, reset, and enjoy the work you do.
